The Hurd Auto Mall has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence in hopes to accomplish two things this year; raise the level of public awareness about the organization and increase the cash donations.
As part of the Hurd Auto Mall’s 75th anniversary celebration, President and CEO, Christopher Hurd, is honoring the good deeds of the local charities with a program his team calls ‘Passing the hat for Rhode Island friends and families’.
From September to October, the Hurd Auto Mall will donate a portion of every vehicle sold on a monthly basis to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence. Everyone that purchases a vehicle will have the opportunity to select the charity they would like to receive the benefits from ‘Passing the hat for Rhode Island friends and families’ giving program. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence hopes that you will give our organization careful consideration in the selection process.
The honoring does not stop there. In addition to the monthly donations by the Hurd Auto Mall, each charity will be entered into the grand prize drawing to receive a donation between $10,000.00 and up to $25,000.00, drawn at the end of October, 2010.
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence is to "enable and inspire children and youth, especially those from diverse or difficult circumstances, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and healthy members of their community, the State of Rhode Island, and the nation.” We would not be able to help more than 7,500 children and youth from diverse or difficult circumstances without the support of many generous individuals, corporations, and foundations.
