One of the best ways to help children is to make a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence. Our work is enriched by the support of individuals, corporations, and foundations who believe in our mission to “enable and inspire children and youth, especially those from diverse or difficult circumstances, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and healthy members of their community, the State of Rhode Island, and the nation.” Your gift ensures that children who come from difficult circumstances have access to a wide range of programming, all available to our members for $18 annually.

Make a Gift from your Corporation or Corporate Foundation:
Corporate sponsorship benefits through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence offer your company the highest level of recognition for contributions. Corporate giving is an excellent way to enhance your company's visibility in the community by aligning it with an organization that promotes and enhances the development of the youth of Providence. If your company or company's foundation only funds specific types of programs, we can provide a specific proposal tailored to your organization's interests. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence offers youth in the Providence area diverse programming to help them become productive, responsible and caring citizens. We offer an extensive list of program areas including School Age Child Care, Early Years Learning Centers, Camp Davis, Education & Career Development, Bridging the Digital Divide, Performing & Cultural Arts, Life Skills, Health & Safety, Outreach, Character & Leadership Development, and Sports & Recreation to youth 6-18. We will work with you to find something you will be excited to fund.

Designate Us Through Your United Way Campaign:
As your company runs its annual United Way campaign, remember the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence and Camp Davis!
Donate Stock:
If you have stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other assets that you have owned for more than one year and that have increased in value since the time of purchase, you may find it advantageous to donate them. Your outright gift of long-term, appreciated securities is exempt from capital gains taxes and, if you itemize, you may claim a charitable income tax deduction equal to the full fair market value of the property at the time of transfer. For gifts of property, your gift is fully deductible for up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income, and like gifts of cash, may be carried forward for up to five years. Appraisal is the responsibility of the donor.

Make a Gift of Real Estate:
You can make a gift of unencumbered commercial or residential real estate and receive substantial benefits. For an outright gift of real estate, the donor receives a charitable income tax deduction based on the fair market value (appraised value) of the property. If you are considering leaving your home to Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence through your will, you may wish to consider giving it now but retain the right to live in it during your lifetime. You are still responsible for paying taxes, insurance, and maintenance costs, but you do receive a substantial charitable income tax deduction in the year the gift is made. In some cases, real estate may be used to provide a life income stream through a charitable remainder trust or other gift planning option.
Make an In-Kind Donation:
Want to donate to the Clubs, but don't have the ability to give cash? The Clubs rely heavily on the generosity of the community in providing in-kind gifts and services to help benefit our Clubs and the youth who use them.
