The South Side Boys and Girls Club opened in 1959, and its doors have been open to youth and families ever since. Notable alumni include Jamie Benton, head basketball coach at Johnson & Wales University, Ed Cooley, head basketball coach at Providence College, and Kobi Dennis, civic leader. This club is open for childcare and open door members. All members enjoy supper at the Clubhouse, as well as access to our indoor swimming pool. Whether it is playing sports in the gym or pool in the games room, creating awesome arts and crafts, or just hanging out with friends, the South Side Clubhouse has tons of fun things to do for youth age 5-18! Partner organizations such as City Arts and Providence Children’s Museum provide additional opportunities to learn and grow at every corner. If you are interested in signing up for school year child care or open door membership, please come visit us and grab an application! Please note that completion of an application does not guarantee immediate enrollment. Stop by or call ahead to ask about child care schedules and fees.

Feel free to call us or drop by to check out the fun intentional learning programs we’re offering this winter, too. Here’s to giving our youth a safe place to learn, play, and grow, before and after school!
