In Loving Memory…

We ask that you take a moment today to honor Solomon A. Solomon, a Fox Point native, Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence alum, Hall of Fame member, and Board alum, who passed away recently. A champion for education, Sol and his family recently established the Solomon A. Solomon College Education Endowment, to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence members in entering and financing college. Through his endowment and his legacy, Sol has given Providence youth a concrete chance to shine. Sol’s presence will be sorely missed, but his passion and belief in our work will continue on.

To give a gift to the Solomon A. Solomon College Education Endowment in honor of Sol, please go to, where you can indicate the Solomon A. Solomon College Education Endowment in the drop-down menu. Consider a gift of $100, $250, or $500 to significantly add to the impact Sol has had on our youth, covering a semester’s worth of books, a year’s books and supplies, or a two-credit course for a student at one of our state’s public colleges. If you have any questions or would like to give a gift via phone or check, please call 401-444-0758.
