IN-PERSON PROGRAMS

Clubs start at 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

All in-person clubs will take place at the Boys & Girls Club Fox Point.  All in-person clubs meet once a week. All Clubs are for specific grades, as listed in the program descriptions.

At school dismissal time, students with clubs are called over the intercom to the Vartan Gregorian gym, where BGCP staff take attendance. All classroom teachers receive students’ club schedules before clubs start, so that they are aware of which students have clubs on which days. Students are then brought to their program locations at the Fox Point Clubhouse by their instructors.

In-Person Clubs end at 5:00 PM. All dismissal and parent pick-up takes place at the BGCP Fox Point Club.  (90 Ives Street).  The club sign-out will be at a table outside. Please call when you are outside the building.

All children must be picked up promptly at 5:00 PM. Parents and Guardians are NOT allowed in the building due to Covid restrictions. There is no Open Door program or Transportation available at this time.

Parents can designate on their registration forms who is allowed to pick up a child. Anyone picking up your child MUST be on your approved list of adults allowed to pick up your child, and anyone picking up your child MUST be prepared to show identification. All adults must wear a mask and bring their own pen at pick-up.

The Thoughts-Actions-Feelings Circle (TAF) illustrates how this works in life: our thoughts lead to actions and those actions lead to feelings about ourselves which in turn lead to more thoughts. Through games, art, and hands-on activities, club members will work on recognizing and regulating their own thoughts, feelings and actions. For more information, visit www.positiveaction.net

STEM! Camp Invention: Elevate Series

Calling all inventors!

Camp Invention® is a program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame®, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the future of innovation. Camp Invention was designed to introduce children to the process of invention early on. Exposure to the invention process is valuable for all children because it inspires collaboration, encourages entrepreneurship, ignites creativity, exercises problem solving skills and builds an understanding that failure is a necessary point on the path to success.

This virtual after school club will meet on Zoom twice a week. The Camp Invention®  Elevate series lets children’s imaginations soar! Children are introduced to world-changing inventors, practice divergent thinking and explore a different themes throughout the session; from flight and sports innovations to intellectual property and environmental science.

All Camp Invention®  materials are included and will be provided to each member at the start of the program.
