Health Mission: Aetna, a CVS Health Company, awards grant to BGCPROV
For the last 10 years, we’ve worked together to provide students in Providence with the opportunity to spend their summer working at a nonprofit organization. These teens not only gain the skills that build a foundation for future career success, but they also benefit from gaining an in-depth understanding of how to address issues that affect our community. The students are impressive when they walk in the door, but the growth we see in them throughout the summer is humbling. During their time in the program, they hone their communication skills, develop further interest in social issues, and begin to explore the role they can play in improving the neighborhoods in which they live.
